RIO SORDO RISERVA
VINE AND VINEYARD
100% Nebbiolo cru Rio Sordo.
The vineyard is exposed to the west and south/west.
It presents a medium-textured soil with limestone
and clay.
AGING
It is aged in big oak barrels of 5,000 liters each.
ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS AND PAIRING
It shows a bright garnet red color.
On the nose notes of undergrowth, blackberries and
blueberries, alongside great spicy notes of black pepper and star anise and eucalyptus. In closing, more advanced aromas of leather, mushroom,
licorice and cocoa.
The palate is soft, savory, with velvety tannins and a very long finish with returns of licorice and juniper berries.
Its dominant character accompanies spicy stewed
meats, game, braised meats, long-seasoned cheeses, goat and blue cheeses.
On its own it makes any evening enjoyable!
