VINE AND VINEYARD
100% Nebbiolo cru Rio Sordo.
The vineyard is exposed to the west and south/west.
It presents a medium-textured soil with limestone
and clay.
AGING
It is aged in big oak barrels of 5,000 liters each.
ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS AND PAIRING
It shows a transparent garnet red color.
On the nose hints of china and black tea wrapped in an infinite territorial extraction in the flowers of rose, violet and wisteria, combined with mint and nutmeg.
On the finish it has many notes deriving from its long aging, in particular anise, cocoa and roasted coffee.
The palate is full, round, and presents a great tannin, fresh and of a good sapidity and balance.
Excellent with braised beef, ossobuco and stews. It can adapt nicely to any blue cheese.
SERVICE
It is advisable to open at least an hour before pouring and decanting.
